True enough. But I suspect that with either choice (Gitzo or Induro) you won't be thinking much about it once you have it. Really, the only thought I have about my tripod or Markins head is "is it packed?" In operation...

Everything that I have read above has been very interesting to me. I currently have a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod with a Manfrotto ball head - decent stuff, but I couldn't afford the Gitzo tripod and Markins or RRS quality...
