Great lens. I already had 24-120mm but at $850 from Canada with 6 years Canadian warranty I could not resist. If something does go wrong I will send it back to Tamron Canada instead of Tamron USA. It will cost a little more b ...

thanks for the replies, it seems i should buy this lens for the same reasons i bought a 70-200mm it kicks ass! Luckily I have a Nikon 18-200mm I dont use anymore and the Tamron I can sell to put towards it :) ...

is about the SP version (prior to G2). Not sure it addresses your observation... the 24-70 2.8 SP version although it is the only lens I really felt needed...

I am trying to learn more about the differences between the Tamron sp 28-75 f/2.8 di lens compared to the Tamron sp 24-70mm. Is the difference that the 24-70 is VR [besides, of course, the slight difference in focal length...

Sure the top two shots with the 24-70mm are: ISO 1600, SP 1/640, f3.2 0EV. The two below with the 70-200mm are: ISO 1600, SP 1/640, f2.8 0EV. The game was at 1 PM and windows provided natural light that increased the ambient...
