Sounds interesting, I'd be curious to see the early reviews. It's always a tricky decision as to whether to buy 3rd party and save for a Nikkor or just take the plunge and buy Nikkor. This might be an interesting alternativ ...

One thing to remember is Tamron hit the streets with a 70-200 f2.8 under $700 when everyone else was asking north of a $1000. Tamron can be very surprising with their aggresive pricing. jim ...

Mine came back from the shop last week. Replaced two internal elements. Updated the firmware (no idea what this implies) Replaced helicord. Replaced the contacts. Calibrated the AF motor. Would have been easier to send ...

Fantastic Lens. I have this lens on my D810 and haven't had a drama. Its not the lightest lens I have used but has excellent image quality and focuses fast and performs very well. I would recommend this lens. ...

Shot this one with my D810 and the Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8VC 2015 NAIAS, Shot a few hundred at the show. A bit heavy but focus is fast, zoom feels solid, some have said they had a slight gap at the extreme, I did not notice...

I can't say much for the tamron since I never owned one however; I do own the 24-70mm and it is just an amazing lens. As one of our member states, if the weight doesn't bother you, this is the lens to go with....

So I this month was when I had planned on getting a 24-70mm and I normally purchase my equipment from B&H, but they are OUT. So is Adorama (sp?) Is it just that popular at the moment? Any rumors on restock? Perhaps...
