I have a D90 and as an old target shooter from wayback would like to get Bushhawk's Shoulder Mount, as I understand it the Nikon cable that comes with the bushhawk will not interface with the D90. Any work arounds...

I came across what seemed to be a useful accessory for hand-holding long lenses -- the BushHawk Shoulder Mount. Has any Nikonian used this gadget... . Though I carry and use my tripod almost always, how would the BushHawk compare...

It is a BushHawk with the shoulder stock removed. Take a look at the images on the BushHawk website. (www.bushhawk.com/bushhawk) The second image that you posted is not a bush hawk it says Stedi Stock...

I am looking for the best support solution for photographing seabirds from a boat--monopod and tripod not usable. I usually use the D2X and 200-400 VR. Anyone using a Bushhawk? How is it working for you? I tried one...

A lot of canon users on fred miranda forums swear by the bushhawk I dont see myself using one as I do pretty well handheld but I am still under 40 :) if I was to carry more gear, it would be a tripod or monopod...
