Right Stuff and with a 3/8" - 1/4" bushing you can mount an arca-swiss clamp... Does your plate not have a threaded hole? Mine do. I have a plate for my D70 and l-brackets for D200 and D2xs and all can be screwed directly...

I wouldn't risk trying a Manfrotto plate with an Arca-Swiss clamp. You can get generic Arca-Swiss plates for a fairly cheap price, but the true utility of the system is that you can get custom-fit plates for your camera...

or plates. I sold my Lbracket for D70 and flat plate for F100 and they went pretty cheap. An alternative is to get an Acratech ballhead, they are cheaper...

Just got notified Gary that it will be here this arvo. I'm not sure if the plate is Arca Swiss compatible or propriety Manfrotto......knowing Manfrotto I suspect it will be theirs....

plate to an Arca Clamp. The Manfroto head won't take an Arca plate. The one... slop as you propagate the various parts. Arca Clamps usually are all 3/8... to a 3/8 and that is probably what you will need. Cheap :)...

cheap You may also need an arca swiss plate on the foot of your 70-200... and RRS are arca swiss connections, and IMHO, I would stick with arca swiss... out there, most stick with arca swiss If you haven't purchased already...

or lens from rotating. The custom plate or custom feet are cheap insurance... Hi Perry, For generic plates they appear to be well made. The problem I have is if the attaching screw gets loose, the plate will slide along...
