This may be a bit late, but another option is to buy a reburbished 2880 from the Epson store for $549, less the $100 rebate, for a net cost of $449 with free shipping. JDT ...

That would depend on how many pictures you were to print every other month. The ink supposedly has a shelf life of 6 months but Ihave heard people say it is much longer. ...

Just for the record, the printer you're referring to is NOT a "R3880", it's a "Stylus Pro 3880". It's a Professional Imaging printer, not a consumer printer. There's a big difference... Bill ...

I suspect you will be thrilled, as I was (and am) with the 2880. Yes it may take a bit of playing around, but now I find that 90% of my prints are "what I want". ...
