Mm -- not sure about replacing with a D300. I shot with a D300 for about a year, and would have taken the D2X for preference. D300 has somewhat better noise performance, but D2X has other advantages. I would take the D700... |

I love the 300mm plus 1.4 TC combo on the D700. Because of the ISo advantage on the D700 vs the D300, it makes sense to have the faster lens on the D300 with the 300mm and TC on the D700.... |

Mit den jenweiligen Vor- und Nachteilen.

I currently use the 14-70, 24-70 and 70-200 on a D300, and find them very comfortably balanced. I am contemplating the D700 - as a main body and will kep the D300 as a DX/backup body (I have the DX lenses), waiting... |

I’ve been a 300 owner since it was introduced. I own a 200 and 100 as well. I rented a D700 two weeks ago to shoot the ‘Heroes of Woodstock’ concert in Winthrop, Washington. I don’t like my D300 anymore.
